General presentation
The idea behind this platform us to propose a website where one can watch video content (either movies or tv shows), without having to subscribe to all the various streaming platforms on which all content is now spread out (ie. netflix, amazon prime, disney +, hulu, etc...)
Therefore I am allowing acces to my (small) collection of movies and shows, for you (and also me to be honest), as well as a simple way for you to request a particular movies or shows to be added.
How to use plex ?
Plex is the media player, it is software that is installed on my server and that will take video files from the hard drive and enable streaming them over the internet.
The advantage of plex is that, if you have a plex account, I can easily share my library with you. So you only need to create your account on plex.tv and I'll add you (🙂)

Honestly it's not that complicated to use, one you're added, the types of media will appear in th sidebar to the left and you can explore the library. If you have any questions, ask then and I'll try my best to answer.
How to make a request?
With this current setup you can ask me to add a particular movie or show that is not available and that you would like to see.
These requests are made through the ombi platform. Once you have created your plex account, I will import it into ombi (with identical username and password) that you can use to login.
An example
Let's say I want to add Jaws. I can type the title I want in the search bar at the top. Posters for all available search results will show up. It is then possible to click on a given poster for additional details and make a request. It is also possible to add the movie directly by clicking the green cloud that appears when hovering the mouse over the poster.
A final little detail, when you request a movie, it is automatically approved and the download process should happen automatically. However for TV shows, since there are many episodes, the resulting size on the hard drive is usually higher. Since I do not have unlimitited storage space I will personally review these requests before a download is made.
Discord
There is an associated discord server where you can ask questions or warn me of problems (ie. movies are not added after you request them, etc...). The link is in the navigation bar at the top of the page. :)

Honestly, this platform / server is super recent, I am still trying to figure out what I want this to be and what I want to do with it. So if you guys have any comments / criticism / ideas to make things better please send them to me :)
